About This Activity
--Instructor: Dona Davis-- Come explore the magical world of creating and acting with puppets! Each class you’ll make a different style of puppet, (stick puppets, shadow puppets, hand or mouth puppets, etc.). Then you’ll learn how to bring them alive with movement, voice, and other performance skills. You’ll also make a toy puppet theatre and create stories for your puppets to act out. There’ll be fun theatre games using your puppets, of course! What’s Huckle Buckle Beanstalk? Come and find out! Price includes materials fee. --Instructor: Heather Sanderson-- No two weeks are the same in this fun-filled, stress-free class, where youngsters will experience a variety of activities, including theatre games, improvisations, and short scripted plays (great for reading practice!). They will also get to explore their storytelling talents as they create stories and characters straight from their own unique imaginations. The benefits of play are innumerable, including improved cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. This engaging, play-filled environment will also help develop social and verbal skills, build confidence, increase attention span and improve collaborative and communication skills. No class Oct 12.
