About This Activity
"After School STEAM Builders Club is the perfect opportunity for 3rd and 4th graders to engage in the crucial developmental activity of free play through building and tinkering! Using a variety of STEAM-related toys such as wooden unit blocks, Contraptions blocks, K’Nex, Marblelous Mazes, Magnatiles, and Moon Toys, students will explore engineering and design in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Free play with building toys fosters creativity, problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and teamwork, all while supporting social development as students work together to create kinetic and static structures. In a world where structured schedules often leave little time for cooperative play, this club provides the chance for kids to engage their imaginations, build friendships, and develop critical STEAM skills—all while having fun!"
