About This Activity
For this 8 week class, we will learn basic clay hand building techniques, and build on our skills each week. The goal of this class will vary by person, age, and experience level. Beginner ceramicists might make multiple small projects throughout the program, but more experienced artists might choose to make a large piece that they work on the entire available timeframe. By the end of the class, every child should have basic skills such as how to join clay and make and use pinch pots. Though we will have new skills demos each week, the main goal is to have fun, experiment, and make sure nothing explodes in the kiln! Students K and up and adults are welcome to join the ceramic class!
