Young chefs will explore how farm-fresh ingredients make their way from soil to skillet in this vibrant, veggie-packed camp. Campers will harvest fruits and vegetables from our gardens and orchards and cook them up into tasty recipes. We will also spend time exploring the gardens and creating food inspired art. Topics covered will include knife skills, kitchen and food safety and cleanliness, measurement, how to read a recipe, and kid-friendly cooking techniques. All recipes prepared will be vegetarian or have a vegetarian option. Gluten free and vegan are possible with advanced notice Camp Peregrine is open June 19th. We will include Juneteenth in our camp curriculum.
