About This Activity
Description
This class teaches stroke development. Students will learn: how to enter by jumping from the side, fully submerge, recover to surface and side; headfirst entry from the side in sitting and kneeling positions; bobbing while moving toward safety; while vertical, rotate one full turn; rotary breathing; change from vertical to horizontal position on front and back; tread water with modified scissor, breaststroke and rotary kick; push off in a streamlined position then begin flutter and dolphin kicks on front and front crawl and back crawl stroke; whip kick.
There will be no classes the week of March 24-30 due to DPS Spring Break. The classes will still run for four weeks, with a week break during that time.
