Description
The LaunchBot coding and robotics workshop will focus on engaging kids in grades K-2 in introductory programming. Through hands-on, exploration powered learning, students will develop an understanding of basic programming. LaunchBot is focused on providing fun, hands-on, student-driven robotics classes. Participants will use tablets and Sphero robots for this workshop. The K-2nd grade workshop will focus on drawing-based programming.
Please note that the workshop will take place in the Space Center robotics lab. Space is limited. Parents/caregivers will be asked to remain in the museum but outside of the robotics lab while the workshop takes place. One complimentary adult admission is included with registration. Any additional family members will be required to pay admission fees. REFUND POLICY: The City of Downey will issue a refund, less 30% for processing, if a refund request is made prior to the first class date.Age Category
