Beginner Guitar Camp, ages 9-12July 7 - 11, 2025
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
This one-week workshop for beginners, and those with beginner level experience, will cover the basics of guitar playing. Guided by Mason Community Arts Academy Teaching Artists, students will learn guitar notation forms, how to play melodies and songs, and strum chords. This is a perfect class for students to learn to love the guitar and prepare for individual lessons or a school guitar program.
Tuition includes lesson book and class materials. Students must bring their own acoustic guitar (nylon strings recommended).
Online registration closes 3 business days before the first class, however space may still be available! Please email the office to check: academy@gmu.edu. A $10 late registration fee will apply.
