About This Activity
UPAC is a rigorous, pre-professional after school program offering high school students a scope and sequence of training in the performing arts. Our program is committed to providing a space for young artists to explore their creative potential within a framework of encouragement and artistic excellence. UPAC is dedicated to preparing the student for GSA, community theater, and post-secondary education. The Musical Theater Track offers students of all levels, from newest beginner to most advanced, opportunities to explore their potential within a nurturing yet disciplined environment. This comprehensive program inspires students to take risks and embrace their creativity, grow in their faith, and share their talents. The program is designed as a sequential 4-year training program in triple threat musical theater with core classes and electives. YEAR ONE: Foundations of Musical Theater Dance Foundations of Vocal Production/Musical Theater musicianship Foundations of Acting - Voice/Diction, Characterization, Physical Awareness on Stage Foundations of the Artist's Calling
