Description
Stage 4 (Stroke Introduction)
Students in this stage develop stroke techniques in front crawl and back crawl and learn the breaststroke kick and butterfly kick. Water safety is reinforced through treading water and elementary backstroke.
Prerequisites:
Participants must be able to submerge independently and retrieve an object in chest deep water. They must also be able to swim on their front and back for 10 yards, exit the pool independently, roll from back to front and front to back and tread water for 30 seconds and exit.
What Do I Need:
Bathing suit, towel, and goggles (recommended).
