About This Activity
Strengthen core skills, while boosting confidence this summer in our 2-student, 10-hour, hands-on, fun reading and math workshop! Your child will learn age- and grade-appropriate skills for stronger reading and math foundations. In this paired, yet individualized, tutoring group, students will build essential skills for future success. Key areas of focus may include, based on the specific need of each student: Reading: - high-frequency words - decoding - fluency - comprehension Math - solidification of conceptual skills for: - addition - subtraction - multiplication - division - problem-solving These skills are fundamental for developing better, deeper understanding of applied strategies, as well as initiating comprehension of concepts. Using hands-on manipulatives, working with a partner, and engaging in enjoyable activities to cement concepts, your child will feel more confident heading into 3rd grade in the fall.
