Description
Come join the Encanto Park Sports Complex Flag Football League. This league teaches youth the fundamentals of football, good sportsmanship, and teamwork through practices and games. The goal of the league is to educate its participants in the game of football as well as to learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field.
This is a ten-week program with two practices starting the week of January 20, before the eight-game season that starts on January 30.
There will be two practices prior to the first game of the season and then one practice and one game a week. The 45-minute practices will be held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 6:00pm or 7:00pm depending on the coach's availability. Games will be played on Thursdays at 7:30pm. All practices and games will be held at Encanto Park Sports Complex, 2121 N 15th Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85007, on the ballfield just east of the parking lot.
Players must wear a mouth guard and bring water to each practice and game.

The coach's commitment will be to hold a practice once a week and coach one game per week. Prior to the season there are requirements for background checks, an online training through NAYS and a mandatory meeting. The total amount of hours for a coach during the season is around 24 hours for the ten-week program.
This season's coaches meeting is Thursday, January 16, at 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Washington Activity Center 2240 W. Citrus Way, 2240 W Citrus Way, Phoenix, AZ, 85015, just south of Glendale Ave and west of 19th Ave.
