About This Activity
Description
Afterschool Program at Longview is a drop-in out-of-school time recreation program designed for school age children (6-13 years of age). Under the supervision of professional recreation staff, youth are provided with a variety of age appropriate activities that are fun, stimulating and enriching. Activities include arts and crafts, table games, gym time, sports, tournaments, and a daily afternoon snack. Children are required to make their way to the center; recreation staff does not go to the school for pick-up. A "drop-in" program means participants are permitted to come and go on their own volition. By registering for this program, it is understood that the Program Guidelines document serves as a behavior contract between Longview and the parents and participants. The guidelines are available at the site; it is the parents' responsibility to familiarize themselves and their children with that information.
