About This Activity
Come spend the day making art in our beautiful creekside studios! Students will spend half the day making pottery on our brand new potters wheels and the other half drawing and painting. This art camp is mixed-level; open to all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Enjoy an active, upbeat, and exciting studio environment, with skilled instruction from one of our favorite High School art teachers. During the Ceramics portion of camp, students will get the chance to make functional pottery and figurative sculpture. With the addition of our brand new potter wheels, students will make cups, bowls, and everything in between. In the Drawing and Painting portion of camp, students will have fun exploring a range of media from drawing, spray paint, and printmaking to acrylic paint. Students can expect to leave this camp with many beautiful pieces of handmade pottery as well as prints and paintings to hang on the walls at home! This is a two week camp due to the ceramics firing schedules. *This camp will use the swimming pool daily in the afternoon as an optional activity.
