About This Activity
Little's Half day camps are from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, for Pre-K and rising Kindergartners. Little’s camps is designed for campers aged 4-5. Children must be at least 4 years old by the start of their session to attend. Additional PM Care is available to add on to registration. Aftercare runs from 2:30 pm- 4:30 pm. You must register for aftercare PRIOR to session start. In my beautiful flying frog machine! We will investigate the properties of UP - as in Look up and see what you can see. Is that a dragon in the sky or a cumulonimbus cloud? What is a shooting star? How does a rocket launch? Learn about Bernoulli's principle and how it helps create lift on a wing allowing a bird to soar and a plane to fly. Bats are the only mammals that can truly fly (Birds and Bugs too), while some other creatures like flying squirrels, flying fish or Bornean gliding frogs glide through the air. We will make our own version of flying squirrels - using paper airplanes we will experiment to see what zooms and what kabooms. Also, when one thinks of UP one might be envisioning climbing up a mountain or walking up the stairs at home or maybe even taking the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building. We will explore many local Tops of hills, towers and roofs to get a 360 degree point of view of our local surroundings as we explore the many different facets of UP. Tree Frog Treks Camps are about exploring nature, meeting animals (live rescued reptiles and amphibians) doing science and art and most of all having fun with our new friends outside.
