About This Activity
Silver Creek Academy has proudly served the Evergreen Community for over 17 years and is excited to partner with Evergreen School District to provide our award-winning Public Speaking program on the campus of their schools. The students will learn strategies for communicating effectively, persuasively, and confidently. The students will practice projecting control and confidence while presenting, as well as enhance personal body language, eye contact, and gestures. The speeches cover a variety of topics including persuasive presentations, informative speeches, narrative prompts, and more. Speech writing and organization will be covered in course, as well. The hour-long course will be taught by Evergreen School District teachers and meet once a week.
