About This Activity
Description
In 2022, I initiated and led the Engineering Club at Hawthorne, continuing it at the SLO Library in 2023. The club engages children aged 4-11 in hands-on STEM activities such as using 3D pens, creating epoxy resin jewelry and boxes, planning for 3D printing with Tinker-cad, designing solar-powered tiny houses, and constructing miniature cities. These projects are designed to foster creativity, enhance problem-solving skills, and cultivate a strong interest in engineering. This proposed class will build on these successful activities, providing young students with a dynamic and interactive learning experience.
