About This Activity
Insects, arachnids, and bugs of all kinds are an important part of the Marin Headlands ecosystem! Join us for a week of Coastal Camp dedicated to learning all about bugs - from water bugs in the pond to the beautiful butterflies that fly from flower to flower! These critters aren’t so creepy at all, take a closer look and you will see all they do for us! Activities may include: - Looking for bugs in the pond - Learning what a pollinator is - Playing a game to travel through the lifecycle of a ladybug - Making an insect craft to take home - Traveling thousands of miles (while only taking a few steps!) to see where the monarchs spend their winters - Dancing like a bumble bee
