Teen Musical Theatre (Tuesday & Sunday) Experience: All experience levels are encouraged to join! Rehearsals: 8th grade and above: Performers will rehearse every Sunday (6:15-8 p.m.) and Tuesday (4:30-8 p.m.). Additional specialty rehearsals may be scheduled. Auditions & Casting: Each performer will be cast in a minimum of one role. Class Act's double casting system will be applied in most cases, giving each performer two roles (one featured role and one ensemble role). Program Duration: 4 months Casting and Conflicts: All performances will take place from November 14-24th. Your performer will perform in a minimum of two performances. (Performance days include Thursday through Sunday of each week). Outside of religious and school activities, we can not accommodate any other special requests with show days. This will allow our directors and casting team more flexibility to cast each kid exactly where they want them to be. What Happens In Rehearsals? The teens will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the musical being rehearsed. There will be a deeper dive into character study, and tougher choreography and dancing will be included. Who Teaches The Kids? Our program is directed by Ally Mulholland, produced by Jaya Ely, led by our Artistic Director, Jessica Alexander, (MFA Acting, New School University), and supported by a number of assistant directors who are skilled in various aspects of theatre and performance.
